Barely South Review
The Review is produced by the Old Dominion University Department of English. It began in 1983 as The Dominion Review, an annual student literary journal housed at ODU. In 2008, the journal was reestablished as an online biannual publication under the name Barely South Review and staffed by students of the MFA program.

I began designing issues of the relaunched journal in late 2023, creating a new masthead. Issues are 5.5 x 8.5 with text set in Cardea, designed by David Cabianca and available through Emigre, and Erotica from Adobe Fonts for titles. Artwork is selected by the editors with occasional typographic features from me.

ODU Model UN Conference

The ODUMUNC is an annual 3-day event that brings together high school students from across Virginia to act as a United Nations under the direction of ODU students in Political Science. I devised a new template for their accompanying booklet formerly created in MS Word (!). Layout for interior pages remain consistent from year to year with new copy inserted as necessary. The cover image is the changing feature, which either reflects the theme of that year’s conference or ideas related to the world and internationalism.
